How much weight can the bow ramp withstand on the Steady Multi?

The breaking strength of the winch rope is 750 kg (1600 lbs). When lying against solid surface or floating on the water, the bow ramp itself has no problem handling an equipped diver, a rescue of a person, an electric wheel chair e.g.

Important! Never use the ramp as a loading area for goods when driving or transporting.

Are the boats self-draining?

All Steady models are self-draining, meaning that all excessive water (rain water, melting snow, sprays, etc.) above the water line will be drained automatically.
Important! The drainage hole through the transom must be open for the self drainage to work. Make sure to keep the drainage hole clean at all times. Never leave the drainage plug in while leaving the boat.

Are any of your models suitable for people with disabilities?
Do you have a boat with room for several wheelchair users?

Yes, the Steady Multi has room for wheelchairs. How many there is room for depends on the size of the wheelchairs etc.

I cannot get my boat to plane, what am I doing wrong?

Several factors determine whether or not a boat will plane; such as type of propeller, engine mounting heigh, load and load distribution.Try redistributing the load around the boat. If this does not work, contact your distributor to see if it can be something to do with the engine.

Is the boat stable in rough seas?

Yes, the boat is stable in rough seas. However, we strongly recommend not going out to sea in stormy weather with very big waves.

Which engine brands do you recommend?

Operation and maintenance

What do I need to think about when laying-up my boat for winter?

The boat should be drained of water, stored on a stable base and preferably covered.Drain the innerliner through the drainage plug in the transom. All drainage holes should be cleaned regularly to keep them from fouling. Drain the inne hull through the brass drainage plug by back of the keel. When storing the boat ashore, the draining valves in the transom need to be open. Be sure the aft part of the boat is the lower point to drain the floor completely. Do not store your watercraft sideways or on small, concentrated points. Avoid any concentrated support points. It is important that the watercraft is longitudinal supported all the way along the hull when stored and that the support is evenly distributed along the entire hull. It is recommended to store the boat on a boat trailer especially adapted to Steady boats and the specific boat model. Alternatively, a customized crib/device/etc. which satisfies the above-mentioned criteria may be used. Any winch must be regularly lubricated using penetrating oil, and operation rope must be regularly checked for wear during the year. If the watercraft has a bowport, it must always be stored with the bow port closed.

Is it possible to buy spare parts? How can I do this?

Yes, you can buy spare parts from a distributor.

Can the hull become deformed if it is kept on a trailer on land?

Yes, this can happen. It is therefore important to have a suitable trailer.
Important! Always avoid any sort of concentrated point supports or loads, as well as tightened straps.

How can I repair my Steady boat?

That depends on what it wrong with it. You can repair certain kinds of damage yourself, otherwise we recommend you contact your distributor. Many damages may easily be welded.

Can I install a table on my boat?

Can you mount watersports accessories on the boat? Such as a tow rope loop for water skiing or wakeboarding.

None of our Steady boats comes with pre-moulded fixing points for installing watersports accessories. You can use the hooks and fixing points that are pre-moulded on the boat If you wish to install equipment that is not part of the original specification, please contact your distributor for assistance.

What type of trailer do you recommend?

We do not have any contractual agreements with trailer suppliers. Make sure the trailer has evenly distributed support along the entire length of the hull. Avoid any concentrated point supports. Manu rollers/wheels and large contact surfaces are key. Adjust the side supports properly to ensure that the watercraft is in position. When stored on a trailer, any straps should NOT be tightened. All straps must be untightened immediately after any transportation. It is recommended to use a trailer especially customized for you specific Steady model.
